2.High-Quality Reeds—The Soul of the Accordion

The craftsmanship of reeds directly impacts sound quality. Most accordions on the market use standard brass reeds, which are highly sensitive to temperature and humidity—often causing pitch drift and producing flat, monotone sound.
In contrast, we use Czech-made finished reeds imported from Europe, which are five times more corrosion-resistant than typical brass reeds. They maintain a pitch error within ±2 cents even in extreme environments ranging from -20°C to 50°C.
Our manufacturing process precisely controls reed vibration frequency and amplitude. Unlike traditional mechanically-stamped reeds, our reeds produce richer harmonics, resulting in a warmer, fuller, and more nuanced tone. The treble is crisp and bright, while the bass is deep and resonant—perfect for both majestic marches and lyrical melodies.
Furthermore, each reed undergoes 72 hours of manual tuning and acoustic aging testing, ensuring stable performance and consistent tonal excellence in every accordion.
Note: Baidi accordions use Czech finished reeds, not just imported reed tongues. A “finished reed” is a complete unit made and assembled in its country of origin, guaranteeing authentic European tone quality. This distinction is important—using just imported reed tongues means only the sound-producing strip is imported and then further processed domestically, whereas finished reeds preserve the original acoustic character more completely.

3.Rigorous Reed Selection

The Czech reeds we currently use meet strict selection standards. Like Italy, the Czech Republic is a traditional reed manufacturing country, and their tonal qualities are especially suited to classical and traditional music, making them popular among accordion enthusiasts in China.
